Ticketing

Stop collecting gate money
in a shoebox.

Sell tickets online, families pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the pass lands in their Apple Wallet. At the gate, any phone becomes the scanner. The money goes to your Stripe account, not ours.

Your name is on the statement.

Ticketing platforms usually collect on your behalf, hold the money, take their cut and pay you out later. That is someone else's balance sheet holding your gate revenue.

Sketchplay uses Stripe Connect with direct charges. The charge lands on your own Stripe account, your organization's name appears on the buyer's statement, and Stripe pays you on its normal schedule. There is no platform escrow in the middle.

What you actually need

Three jobs, and not a
cash box among them.

Sell it online

Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card. No app to install and no account to create before somebody can buy.

It lands in Wallet

Every paid ticket carries a QR code and an Apple Wallet pass, so nobody is hunting an email at the gate.

Any phone is the scanner

Gate staff sign in with a per-event PIN and scan with the camera. No hardware to rent or charge.

The gate is not a separate product

It runs on the same platform as your registration and brackets, so gate and registration revenue land already reconciled.

"Sketchplay has been a game changing experience for my organization. We dreaded having multiple apps for different reasons and Sketchplay eliminated that headache. Everything is in one place, so we can focus on what really matters, our athletes and their families."

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Who actually receives the money?

Your organization. Sketchplay Ticketing uses Stripe Connect with direct charges, so the charge lives on your Stripe account, your name appears on the buyer's statement, and Stripe pays you directly on its normal schedule. There is no platform escrow.

Do buyers need an app or an account?

No. They open the link, pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card, and get a confirmation email with a QR code, a printable PDF, and an Apple Wallet pass.

What do we need at the gate?

A phone or a tablet. Gate staff sign in with a per-event PIN in the browser, point the camera at the QR code, and it validates and marks the ticket used on the spot. There is no hardware to rent.

Can we refund someone?

Yes. Full and partial refunds are one click from the order, with an optional checkbox to void the ticket so it cannot be scanned at the gate.

What does it cost?

There are no setup fees, no monthly subscription, and no long-term contract. There is a small per-ticket service fee plus standard Stripe processing, and only when you actually sell a ticket.

Does it handle multi-day events?

Yes. Multi-day tournaments and showcases can sell different ticket types per day, and the gate scan validates against the right day.
