1. Who we are
Sketchplay is a youth sports management platform operated by Lab3 Interactive, Inc. DBA Sketchplay ("Sketchplay", "we", "us" or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information when you visit sketchplay.com, contact us, or use the Sketchplay platform.
Effective September 22, 2026. Last updated September 22, 2026.
This version replaces version 1.0, dated December 16, 2024. It is an update, not a first publication.
Questions about this policy go to info@sketchplay.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us when you register, use the platform, fill in a form or contact us:
- Names and contact information, including email address and, where you provide it, mobile phone number
- Account credentials
- Sports and activity information, such as organization, teams, rosters and events
- Communication preferences, including your SMS consent choices
- Anything you write to us in a form, an email or the chat widget
We also collect some information automatically when you use the site or the platform:
- Device and browser information
- Usage data and interactions with pages and features
- Technical information such as IP address and access times
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card numbers. Payments run through Stripe, which collects and holds that data under its own terms.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our services
- Send SMS, email and push notifications you have asked for or that are needed to run your account
- Respond to demo requests, sales questions and support requests
- Provide customer support
- Keep the platform secure and investigate abuse
- Understand how the site and product are used, and improve them
4. SMS and text messaging
How we collect SMS consent. We send text messages only to people who have asked for them. Consent is collected on our contact form at https://sketchplay.com/contact/, where there are two separate, optional checkboxes. Both are unchecked by default, and each one is its own consent:
- Transactional messages. Consent to receive transactional messages from Lab3 Interactive, Inc. DBA Sketchplay at the phone number provided, such as demo scheduling, account notifications and replies to a support request.
- Marketing messages. A separate consent to receive marketing and promotional messages from Lab3 Interactive, Inc. DBA Sketchplay at the phone number provided.
Ticking one box does not tick the other. You can submit the form, book a demo, buy and use Sketchplay without ticking either.
You must be 18 years of age or older to use this SMS service.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency varies. How often we message you depends on what you asked for and what is happening in your account.
- Message frequency may vary.
- Message & data rates may apply.
- Message and data rates may apply, and are set by your mobile carrier, not by Sketchplay.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Help and opt out. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out. Reply STOP to cancel at any time.
You can also email info@sketchplay.com for help. After you reply STOP we send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and then we stop messaging that number unless you opt in again.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies, such as browser storage and tracking pixels, to keep the site working, to remember your preferences (for example light or dark mode), to measure how the site is used and to measure our advertising.
These are the services we load on sketchplay.com and what each is for:
- PostHog (product analytics): how pages and features are used, so we can improve them.
- Google Analytics 4 (site analytics): traffic volumes and sources.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel (advertising): measures our ads and builds retargeting audiences on Meta platforms.
- Microsoft Clarity (usability analytics): aggregated interaction and session data used to find broken or confusing pages.
- GoHighLevel chat widget (support and sales chat): powers the chat bubble, and stores what you type there so a conversation survives a page reload.
How to control cookies. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and block third-party cookies specifically, from its privacy or site-data settings. Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all offer this, and all of them let you browse in a private window that discards cookies when you close it. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and change ad personalization in your Meta account settings. Blocking cookies may stop parts of the site from working as intended.
We do not use cookie data to identify you personally on this marketing site unless you have given us your details through a form.
6. How we share information
We share information only in these situations:
- With your explicit consent
- With service providers who run parts of our service for us, such as SMS delivery, email, payment processing and hosting, and only so they can do that work
- When required by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property
We do not sell your personal information. SMS opt-in data is subject to the stricter rule set out in section 4 above: it is never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
7. Your privacy rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict how we process it
- Receive your data in a portable form
- Object to processing
- Withdraw consent, including SMS consent, at any time
To exercise any of these, email info@sketchplay.com. To withdraw SMS consent you can simply reply STOP to any message.
8. Data security
We protect your information with:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Access controls and authentication
- Security monitoring and logging
- Regular security assessments
No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we treat your data as if it were our own.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we post the new version on this page and update the version number and the dates at the top. Material changes to how we handle SMS data will be announced here before they take effect.
