Frequently asked questions
What does Sketchplay actually do?
It runs the operating side of a sports organization: registration and payments, scheduling, communication with families, live scores and brackets, event ticketing, and your website and app. The point is that they share one roster, so registering a family is what puts them on a schedule and on a message list.
How long does it take to get started?
Four steps: pick a plan, connect the account you get paid into, publish the events you are running, and open sign-ups. Most organizations are taking registrations the same day rather than at the start of the next season.
Do we have to use all of it?
No. Plenty of organizations start with registration or with one tournament and add the rest later. Every plan includes the full platform either way, so turning something on is not a new line on the invoice.
Is any of it an add-on we pay extra for?
Every tier includes the full platform and a branded website. You pay one flat monthly price based on the size of your organization, and there are no per-team fees.
Does the price go up when we grow?
Your plan is not metered by athletes, teams, events, or sports, so adding them does not move the price. If your organization outgrows its tier you can move up at any time, and the change is prorated for the rest of your billing cycle.
What do families have to download?
Nothing, if they do not want to. Families can register, pay, and follow schedules and scores on your website in a browser. If they want it on their phone, your organization has its own space in the Sketchplay app.
Is our website really included?
Yes. Every plan includes a branded website built and hosted by Sketchplay carrying your name, your colors, and your event calendar, with your registration and live scores already wired into it.
Can we see it running on our own season?
That is what the demo is for. Bring your current sign-up form or last season's schedule and we will put it into Sketchplay while you watch.
